Forged Rims

Forged rims are the gold standard in custom wheels. Unlike cast rims that pour molten aluminum into a mold, forged rims are machined from a single billet of solid 6061-T6 aluminum under 10,000+ tons of pressure. The result: a rim that's lighter, stronger, and more precise than anything cast.

What Makes Forged Rims Different

The forging process aligns the aluminum's grain structure, eliminating the porosity and weak points found in cast rims. A forged rim can be up to 30% lighter than a cast rim of the same size — which means better acceleration, shorter braking distances, and less unsprung weight punishing your suspension.

Forgiato forged rims are available in 3-piece construction (separate face, lip, and barrel for maximum customization), monoblock (one-piece for lightweight strength), and dually configurations for heavy-duty trucks. Every rim is CNC-machined, hand-finished, and assembled in our Los Angeles factory. Sizes range from 18" to 34" with custom offsets for any vehicle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Forged rims are wheels machined from a solid block of aluminum that has been compressed under extreme pressure (10,000+ tons). This creates a denser, stronger grain structure compared to cast wheels. Forged rims are lighter, more durable, and can be manufactured to tighter tolerances.
Yes. Forged rims offer superior strength-to-weight ratio, better performance characteristics, and longer lifespan compared to cast alternatives. They also allow for more customization — custom offsets, finishes, and sizes that cast wheels can't match. For anyone serious about their build, forged is the standard.
Forgiato forged rim sets typically start at $7,000 and go up based on size, finish complexity, and construction type. 3-piece forged rims with multi-finish configurations are at the higher end. Request a quote for exact pricing on your vehicle.
Forgiato offers forged rims from 18 inches to 34 inches in diameter. The most popular sizes are 22", 24", and 26" for SUVs and trucks, and 20"-22" for sedans and exotics. Every size is available with custom offsets and bolt patterns.
Cast rims are made by pouring molten aluminum into a mold. Forged rims start as a solid billet compressed under extreme pressure, then CNC-machined to shape. Forged rims are lighter (up to 30%), stronger, and allow for custom sizing — but cost more due to the precision manufacturing process.
